The exam is conducted in offline mode. Further, the exam has negative markings and one-third of marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. On the other hand,  each question carries 1 mark which makes the total marks of the exam 120.

APPSC Mains Group 1: Exam Pattern 

The candidates who will successfully clear the prelim exam will be then eligible to appear for the APPSC Mains exam. The exam is conducted in offline mode. On the other hand, the exam has a total of 7 descriptive papers and each paper has 150 marks. The exam also consists of two qualifying papers: English and Telugu.
